Photoshopped Bikini Gwyneth Paltrow Admits She Used to Be an Asshole

Gwyneth Paltrow conducted an interview and obviously manufactured bikini photoshoot for Harper’s Bazaar where Paltrow comes clean on everything that means nothing and run through a perfection blender available for sale on Goop. In the interview she allowed her friend Samantha Bee to conduct, Paltrow addresses her faults with the calculation of somebody in a job interview asked to list their faults. I try too hard. I wish I weren’t such a perfectionist. I need to learn to balance some down time into my super dedicated work time.

Paltrow did admit that seventeen years ago her no-nonsense father had to steer her away from a path of potential arrogance:

I remember when I was maybe 27 years old and kind of at the height of my movie stardom—it was around the time of the Oscar and this and that. I think I was very much believing my own hype, which how could you not?” I was sitting with my dad, feeling great about my life and everything that was happening, and he was like, ‘You know, you’re getting a little weird…You’re kind of an asshole.’ And I was like, ‘What the hell?’ I was totally devastated.”

Kind of an asshole is pretty harsh words from the old man. Devastation understood. The story ends there with no follow-up but presumably Paltrow heeded her father’s admonition and became a humble and likable woman. With a slight nod to the fact that horribly bitchy women at twenty-seven tend to be even worse at forty-four after living in an English palace, driving away a husband, and selling five hundred dollar facial creams to wealthy women.

There’s no denying those are amazing abs. You have to wonder who they belong to.
