OJ Just Wants To Lay Low

OJ Simpson is an American icon when it comes to the wackiness of the American justice. When you believe you can’t beat the case, then manage to challenge the police to a televised high speed race, and still come out first place in criminal court with a not guilty verdict you’re instantly elevated to legend status. For all the wrong reasons of course. But who really remembers anyone who followed all of the rules and ate all  of their vegetables their entire life. Somehow a self-hating black celebrity cashed in on the “because I’m black” race card and got away with murder. Literally. Apparently OJ doesn’t want all of the attention anymore now that he’s finally free. 

“Mr. Simpson has no desire to conduct any interviews with the media, and certainly has no desire to solicit an interview for monetary gain,” Simpson’s lawyer says. The lawyer also says a NY Post article claiming Simpson has been shopping an interview for $3 to $5 million is false. There’s one glaring problem with Simpson’s claim — he’s been doing a TON of media from the moment he got out of the joint.

I’m going to bet against OJ on believing he’s willing to leave millions of dollars on the table. After serving so long of a sentence the first thing on any man’s mind that hasn’t converted religions or sexuality is women and money. He still owes millions for the civil suit he lost. The first step in laundering large sums of cash is denying it even exists in the first place. So going on record about making money from an interview isn’t appealing to anyone with more than two brain cells. Simpson is an alleged murderer, not an upstanding citizen.
