Who said crime doesn’t pay? Not the girl making a living by reporting false crimes to re-negotiate more favorable contract terms to her music. The Billboard Women in Music Awards in December will honor Kesha with their Trailblazer Award. Kesha hasn’t even had an album out in over four years, so let’s assume that this award is being given for her victim of a rape that never happened. Sometimes the trailblazing is in the very accusations themselves.
“By combining artistic fearlessness with unbounded creative energy, Kesha has continually pushed the limits of what was once thought possible in pop music. She’s a force on stage, an inspiration in person and a true Trailblazer for millions of music fans around the world.”
That’s the kind of public relations statement you can issue when there’s no chance for rebuttal. There’s not a single chance any of that bullshit rises to the level of Trailblazer Award for the Lifetime Channel aired music show without the false rape accusations and resulting imbroglio. Rape as a crime is stastically dropping significantly in the “rape culture”. Upside of crying rape is through the roof. Irony is only amusing when horrible people aren’t skating.
