Eventually, the politically correct eat their own. It’s the Hungry Hungry Hippos Theory of self-righteous consumption. If the process happened with any expediency, the snowflakes would melt faster than they’re falling. It’s not. The drifts are growing.
Amy Schumer was called out by self-appointed representatives of the sanctity of black culture as expressed through Beyonce videos for her parody of Beyonce’s Formation video. The song and video were used extensively by Beyonce to stamp her BLM bona fides, despite the fact she didn’t write, produce, or choose when and where to perform any of the content. Making your bones is kind of a loose term these days, especially with yellow bones.
Schumer’s video features herself and Goldie Hawn and Wanda Sykes pretending to be bad-ass bitches in a teen party sleepover music video reboot. The actresses all star together in some upcoming Paul Feig produced comedy for which this is clearly a promotion. The video was released exclusively through Tidal, Jay Z’s owned and operated music channel. All of this incestuoous corporate collusion being missed by the Brave Internet Warriors taking turns feeling the burn of centuries of white oppression, from the transatlantic slave trade to this Formation parody.
You know the criticism is dense when nobody merely giggles watch Schumer dance in form fitting clothing. Like watching Chris Farley trying to put on a pair of pants in the morning.
Schumer responded to the criticism by posting a prone topless photos of herself contorted to look less fat with a few brilliantly inspiring words about women working together and a plug for Hillary:
You know you that bitch when you cause all this conversation. Thanks for the exclusive release Tidal! We had so much fun making this tribute. All love and women inspiring each other.#strongertogether
If the anti body shaming Manhattan feminist guardians would’ve thrown down against the righteous black defenders of the pop culture faith, we might’ve seen some blood. Though never skin as that’s one thing nobody puts in this frivolous game.
