Britney Spears is living her daily life now as if she wasn't in a four hour stand-off with the police and admitted to a psychiatric ward five days ago, but slowly details from good sources are coming to light about that night. TMZ says the reason for the stand-off was because Britney wanted to make up time that she missed with her kids because she was forced to go to a deposition earlier in the day with attorneys for Kevin Federline, so she refused to turn over the kids at 7pm and thus the stand-off ensued. However…
Here are the probs with Brit's theory. First, the reason her depo was set for last Thursday was because she failed to show the day before. Second, Thursday's depo was supposed to begin at 9:45 AM and go until 11:45 AM. She didn't show until 11:32, so the depo lasted less than 15 minutes. We've learned she only had visitation rights that day between noon and 7 PM. The depo ended at 11:45 and her house was only 15 minutes away. So she really didn't lose any time with the kids.
Life and Style has details about her going a little crazy when she actually got to the hospital:
The troubled pop star was admitted under the assumed name Barbara Jean to the hospital’s 3rd floor Psych Unit. An eyewitness says she was calm after being medicated. But the 26-year-old did have an episode during which she hurt the pinky finger on her left hand, as well as cut her head, after thrashing into a wall behind her bed.
But clearly the most awesome story is the one in Us magazine saying Britney spoke with a British accent during her stay in the hospital. Cherrio!
It isn’t the first time she changed her voice. On December 17, she spoke in the same accent while chatting with photographers outside the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. What does it mean?“She’s having identity issues,” NYC-based psychotherapist Dr. Robi Ludwig tells Usmagazine.com .“What it definitely says is she doesn’t really like being where she’s at — there’s probably a part of her that wants to escape who she is really is,” Ludwig says, adding that Spears is “in an adolescent mode of thinking … [she’s] trying on different personas to see what feels good and works for her."
If there's anything better than the idea of Britney Spears talking with a British accent, I've never heard of it. Mostly because there's zero chance Britney is smart enough to keep it up. She'll start off sounding like some cockney blacksmith ("Jam your hype and get ya bees, luv, I don need deez ol fizzy gigs, I'm on da telly – a big star I am!") then realize that's all she saw on TV and panic and then it will just become some mash-up of cartoony Asian and Spanish until she screams "no speaka English" and runs away.
