AMY WINEHOUSE IS IN JAIL

Sky News says that Amy Winehouse was arrested earlier today, "in connection with an investigation into perverting the course of justice."  This whole drama began about 5 weeks ago, when Amy's husband Blake Fielder was arrested for attempting to bribe witnesses in his upcoming assault trial.  According to the Herald Sun:

A police source said: "This is a very significant development in the investigation."Barman James King was allegedly offered £200,000 to change his story, after Blake and his friend Michael Brown were charged with grievous bodily harm following a brawl which severely injured King."As soon as the figure of £200,000 emerged, the finger of suspicion started to point in her direction. How could Blake, who is not wealthy, be expected to come up with that kind of money?"  If found guilty of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice Amy could face life in prison.

I'm assuming they mean she could be living in prison and not "life" in prison but who knows.  The real question is, does this mean she'll kill herself?  The definitive answer is, maybe.

Amy has reportedly vowed to kill herself if she is parted from her husband by a lengthy jail sentence.A source is quoted as saying: "Amy has had her problems but she is really teetering on the brink.  She has hatched a suicide pact with Blake. If they are both handed lengthy jail sentences she is determined they will end it together rather than face five years apart. She can't live without Blake and her family are worried sick. This could finish her off. She isn't strong enough for prison life."

This story would be much more interesting if I cared who any of these people were and if I didn't giggle every time they said "perverting", but I relate to them wanting to die instead of going to prison.  I would too, because in prison, many men would try to have sex with my ass, and my ass and I are vehemently against that.  This dude doesn't look like he can fight either, so his nights are probably filled with lots of dropping to the ground and screaming like a bitch.  And good for him.  I'd rather have a poisonous beehive shoved up my ass than some dudes dork.
