ALI LARTER IS ENGAGED – "Heroes" star Ali Larter is engaged to actor Hayes MacArthur.  "They got engaged this weekend," Larter's rep tells Usmagazine.com. "They're overjoyed!"  You may remember Hayes from his star-making performance as Jimmy the Bartender in "Are We Done Yet".  Or not.  Suffice to say the best thing he's ever been in is Ali's vagina.THE OSCARS WILL SUCK. EVEN MORE – The Writers Guild of America has denied a request to allow members to write for this years Academy Awards telecast.  A waiver was sought by both the Academy and the Golden Globes, and both were denied.  So remember that South Park where Whoppi Goldberg comes out at an awards show and says, "Republicans are stupid.  I hate Republicans.  Republicans are stupid."   This will look exactly like that, only with way more stammering pauses.  BRITNEY IS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH – Wayne Isham is the director who made the new Britney Spears video, "Piece of Me," and according to him, she’s a hardworking delight.  "On set," says Isham of Spears, "she was very professional, excited to work and beautiful as always. I was impressed with her focus as she choreographed the dance herself. Her endurance was remarkable, as we had a long day.  She almost outlasted me, which is amazing! It was a pleasure to work with her again." Whatever you little kiss-ass.  I actually tried to watch this video but they did so much computer work on her to make her look less fat, she just ended up looking all blocky, like a log in panties.  And believe it or not, having a log in a wig sing about how awful her millionaire life is didn’t really resonate with me.
