ITS NOT BRITNEYS FAULT

November 14, 2007 | celebrity | editor | 0 Comments

Not surprisingly, lawyers for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline will appear in court again this Friday at the request of Kevin Federline.  Previously Federline has requested Spears not drive with their kids in the car.  Since then, last Thursday to be exact, Britney crossed traffic, running a red light while sending a text message on her cell phone.  Of course, her kids and court appointed monitor were in the car with her.  People says:

"Ms. Spears was being mobbed by paparazzi at the time," her attorney Sorrell Trope tells PEOPLE. "She was distracted. This was not blatant irresponsible driving on her part."Trope declined to comment on media reports that the singer recently tested positive for amphetamines.

But Britney does have a new defense for that positive drug test:

Britney Spears will now say her false positive drug test may have been caused by her inhaler, which she uses for asthma … the same source says the drug that showed up may have been Albuterol, an asthma drug.

Britney has been photographed every day for the past 10 years, and not once have I ever seen her with anything even vaguely resembling an inhaler.  Unless you count doughnuts.  And she did inhale those.  Does that count?  I find it hard to believe that would count.
