Nicole Richie and her pet monkey Joel Madden (more like Joel BAD-den) have reportedly gotten engaged. And just months after getting knocked up and going to jail! The next C-word I call her's gonna be "classy".

Sources who attended the Hot 99.5 concert last night featuring Good Charlotte at the Clarendon Ballroom tell us Joel told the crowd he had just proposed to his jail-bound baby mama on Thursday. Congrats! TMZ contacted Richie's rep to confirm the good news… but haven't heard back yet.

In related news, everyone there caught a serious case of the gay from being at a Good Charlotte concert. Numerous shirtless dudes were seen making out before catching a Hairspray matinee.
