Alec Baldwin sat down with Rose O'Donnell and Barbara Walters yesterday and taped an interview that will air tomorrow on "The View" to address the now famous voicemail he left for his daughter Ireland (seen above, more on that here). Baldwin says he's so upset he asked to be released from his contract on "30 Rock", but NBC refused so he will return next year. Other than that, expect to learn absolutely nothing, since Rosie has already publicly defended Baldwin and Walters will just ask crap like his favorite color and if Anastasia would be a good name for a cat. Page Six says:
Baldwin was described as "soft-spoken, apologetic and thoughtful" during the chat. Baldwin said that when he left an angry voice mail for Ireland calling her "a rude, thoughtless little pig," he was inappropriately directing feelings that should have been expressed to Kim. "He had never done this before. He also talked [in the interview] about the time he spent two weeks with Ireland [but] without Kim in L.A. As soon as Kim returned, his daughter stopped picking up the phone…"
What a dick. He's a real tough guy when it's him vs. a little girl, but then he gets in trouble and he'll only face coddling morons who wont challenge him on anything. I don't care if he's 45, or 44, or a grown man, someone needs to straighten his ass OUT. (see what I did there. take that, Alex!)
