Kate Moss will not be charged

Kate Moss, who was filmed cutting a white powder on a mirror with a razor and then snorting it and passing it around a London recording studio, will not face charges of drug possession after prosecutors decided they did not have enough evidence. The prosecutors office says the video could not prove whether the substance was cocaine, ecstasy or amphetamines. Those drugs are in different categories, and therefore the prosecution could not proceed because they could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt which category of substance was being abused. A spokesmen said:

“(even though the video) provides an absolutely clear indication that Ms. Moss was using controlled drugs and providing them to others … available evidence fell short of establishing the necessary crucial facts, we decided there was no realistic prospect of conviction.”

You can see the video here, and if this isn’t reasonable proof she’s doing cocaine, than nothing is. This not only negates the meaning of the word “reasonable”, it makes me wonder if I still know what “Kate” and “Moss” and “London” mean too. Bravo, English prosecutors. Well done. I’m not sure if you’re picking up on this, but right now I’m doing that thing where I condescendingly clap real slow.
