(SECOND SELF SERVING UPDATE – TMZ took their original story down, and now admit it wasn’t him. here’s a cap of what they had before)
TMZ has a picture that they say shows Jerry Sandusky at LaGuardia airport in New York this morning, and even though the guy doesn’t look anything like Jerry Sandusky, it might be him because it’s not like he’s stuck at home. He also reportedly went shopping at Dicks Sporting Goods last week (“in full PSU attire“), and as deadspin reported…
When Jerry Sandusky was initially arraigned, prosecutors requested $500,000.00 bail and that Sandusky be required to wear a leg monitor. District Judge Leslie Dutchcot, however, ordered that Sandusky be freed on $100,000 unsecured bail. She ordered that Sandusky be freed and pay nothing unless he failed to show up for a court hearing.
So he doesn’t even have a monitor on. The judge just let him walk out the door. Luckily there’s nothing suspicious about that, except that the judge is a volunteer for The Second Mile, which is the charity Sandusky founded and raped kids out of, and an attorney from the same area who has had clients charged with the same thing said…
“I have never had a client who was charged with those counts released on unsecured bail.”
But other than that, this was strictly by the book.
In other Sandusky news…
– Joe Paternos name has been removed from the Big 10 championship trophy. At least the one for football. It’ll still be on the one for the intramural Quiet Game champion though. (espn)
– Sandusky has been receiving a yearly pension of $58,000 from Penn State since he retired. He also got a lump sum of $148,000. It would have been more but he lost his cleaning deposit after they checked the locker room showers. (penn live)
– Jerry Sandusky lived next door to an elementary school. Oh that’s right. Literally right next door. And you just know he sat there at the window, jackin it. (fox)
