Dustin Diamond On Being In Jail

Dustin Diamond reunited with his Saved by the Bell castmate Mario Lopez to discuss going to jail for stabbing a guy just like they’d always talked about doing as teenagers. Diamond was getting shitfaced in a bar on Christmas when a bunch of guys started calling him Screech and getting rowdy with his girlfriend. At that point he pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed a guy very modestly. He says he didn’t do anything wrong, but really who carries around a pocketknife and out of those people how many use it in a scuffle? Mostly drunk guys who want to stab someone.

Diamond did three months on a janitorial crew while his girlfriend gained fifty pounds and was released. He says prison is kind of rough but you can avoid trouble if you fall in line. With that I’ll consider our prison system officially fixed. If Screech, the most rape-able guy in the country, can escape without being sodomized then everything is ship shape and those places are safer than your average waffle house. He should consider going back in, he was somebody on the inside. Back to being Slater’s bitch.
