Reflecting on her previous election by Star magazine voters as the Most Hated Celebrity in Hollywood, Gwyneth Paltrow elected to go with continued disbelief:
First of all I was like, ‘I’m the most hated celebrity? More than, like, Chris Brown? What did I do?
I sort my recycling. I pay my taxes. I’m about as white as you can be. How the fuck did I end up as the final photo in this Most Hated countdown with criminals and drug addicts and massive failures?
Paltrow chose the road more often traveled and insisted she could do nothing more than continue to be her authenticate self and assure people that all their perceptions of her as a spoiled picayune cunty face know-it-all are completely errant.
I think there are things about me that make people draw conclusions. For example, there is the perception that I grew up very wealthy and that I was given, you know … That I was sort of raised with a silver spoon in my mouth, which inspires a lot of resentment.
Thanks for the reminder. A ton of Hollywood people not on the hated list grew up with great privilege and connections. This isn’t Bulgaria. America loves people from wealthy families. A million chunky women cry themselves to bed at night knowing they shall never know the dingle of Anderson Cooper. You meditate every day and your cosmic conclusion is that you’re a victim of bad press? This doesn’t end well for you, excluding the great wealth and luxurious lifestyle for the remainder of your days.
