Model and mediocre singer Keke Palmer took to Instagram to explain how she was taken advantage of during a music video shoot, maybe not coincidentally the day before the Women’s March madness. According to Keke, she was hanging out on the set of Trey Songz music video and he was trying to convince her to appear in the video. This was after plying her with free food and booze, which she presumably voluntarily ate and drank, and then something vague happened:
“Just cause you give someone food and alcohol and throw in a little sexual intimidation doesn’t mean they will buckle.”
It’s unclear what “sexual intimidation” means, but it sounds rapey as fuck, and if you’re going to pe a 500 word diatribe on the incident, perhaps explaining what happened would be in order. Keke glosses over that part but explains she was found hiding in the closet out of fear because she did not want to appear in the video:
“This is preposterous. How am I in this video Trey? After you found me in a closet HIDING because I was so afraid of anymore conflict. Literally my last option was to hide because you all would not listen when I said I did not want to be in the video the FIRST time.”
She claims she was later secretly filmed while hanging out on the set, after being so sexually intimidated that she didn’t leave and was calmly sitting around texting. It’s unclear what she was doing on set in the first place if she had no intentions of appearing in the video. The aftermath is that Trey Songz shitty video features a few frames of her sitting on a couch playing with her phone. For this she threw in a hyperbolic “NO MEANS NO!!!!!!”
If Trey Songz actually tried to rape you in a closet while full of free booze and P.F. Chang’s catering, that needs to be dealt with. Call the cops. The L.A.P.D., not necessarily the Instagram police. If you’re just making shit up, likewise. The jury’s out until you get a sufficient number of likes.
