Lili Reinhart Back From Bully Hiatus

Aside from porn, the other primary use of the internet is writing mean things to people you’ve never met in person. Bullying is an art form. And it looks like Lili Reinhart didn’t understand the art. Do you know the amount of effort that goes into berating strangers? Walking that thin line between free speech and prosecutable threats. According to Reinhart, the trolls that encouraged her to leave Twitter are miserable and unhappy. She’s probably right. But I also feel miserable and unhappy after watching her pretentious show Riverdale. Does that make her a troll too?

Lili Reinhart is back to bashing internet trolls.

On Thursday, the Riverdale actress, 22, returned to Twitter for the first time in almost three weeks. She had previously vowed to take a break from the social media platform after experiencing an onslaught of negativity.

“At the end of the day, if you go online to attack people who you don’t know… you are only making it brutally apparent how insecure and unhappy you are,” she wrote. “Misery loves company. Which is why hate grows. And people find happiness in hating or criticizing the same things.”

“So think of how you’re presenting yourself as a human being when you choose to do so,” she concluded.

We can’t have nice things because people are the problem. It would be nice to have a healthy debate with Kim Kardashian about her horrible influence on young women. But it’s just so much easier to skip straight to the point and call her out for being the skank that she is. Who takes any woman with a 20-year-old thong on seriously? I’m not saying Lili is on the same slut ship, but the internet isn’t for the weakhearted. Just like life. Social media is microcosm reflecting some of humanity’s worst traits. But Twitter isn’t Hotel California. If you can’t handle it, you’re free to leave whenever you like.
