Olivia Munn Wants Some Suicide Spotlight

June 12, 2018 | celebrity | Elliot Wolf | 0 Comments

Some people would say that committing suicide is a selfish act but Olivia Munn is proving that it doesn’t have to be. Just because Anthony Bourdain took his own life doesn’t mean that the spotlight has to solely be on him. We were all taught in kindergarten that sharing is caring, a life lesson that should still be practiced in the afterlife. Olivia wasn’t going to wait around for the ghost of Bourdain to give his blessing so she took it upon herself to steal a little bit of his last shine in the limelight by being very vocal about her own suicidal thoughts. Believe it or not it’s hard being a beautiful woman.

Olivia Munn was rocked by news of Anthony Bourdain‘s death, and while she mourned him along with the rest of us for the man we’d lost, she also decided to open up to her own fans about her long-standing struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts, too.

Maybe it’s the emptiness that comes from materialism, maybe it’s a mental health issue, either way someone needs to start a campaign to save our celebrities. First Kate Spade, then Bourdain, and now Munn can’t be trusted around any type of twine. Lynching yourself is a trend that seems to be in amongst the elite. And I can only imagine what would push Anthony over the edge to take his own life. He seemed like someone who had his life together, but all of that could have been undone by eating anything on the menu at a White Castles. Possibly a suggestion by producers for a new food show, he made the mistake of agreeing to order the instant depression patties sandwiched between two slices of bread. And questionable cuisine like that has the power to make a man so mad, an incessantly happy soul like Bob Ross could be subject to taking a knife to his own throat after ingesting a Crave Case.

I have lived with anxiety and sporadic bouts of depression for most of my adult life. 10 years ago I tackled it, learned to fully understand it and haven’t felt the dark depths of depression in about a decade. But before that, thoughts of suicide crossed my mind more than a few times. For those who don’t understand depression, when someone is in that place it’s not because they want to die… it’s because the ongoing, relentless darkness is too painful to endure anymore. You don’t have to suffer from anxiety and depression to feel that low. Something very sad or traumatic can happen to you just once to bring about that feeling of despair. But please listen to me- from someone who is telling you that she’s been where you are- when I say that SUICIDE IS NOT THE RIGHT CHOICE. 💛 Here is a list of the international suicide prevention numbers. Please don’t hesitate to call for you or someone you think needs help. A phone call could change everything. Even if you think you don’t want to get involved or don’t want your friend to be mad at you or if you’re the one suffering and don’t want to be talked out of it or feel insecure about asking for help. Those are temporary consequences. With suicide, there’s no do-overs. Please try every single option you can before making a choice that cannot be undone.
