Apparently Dana White believes he’s the sole owner of the city of Las Vegas. He’s able to decide who’s allowed entry and who will be denied. So when Dana singles you out and says “stay out of Vegas” you better plan your vacation somewhere else. Being butthurt in a position of power is nothing new. That’s why when White denied entry to country singer Jason Aldean after he chose to perform on SNL instead of UFC 216 in Sin City I wasn’t surprised. According to the leading lady in his life sharing his last name Jason had already visited survivors at the hospital. So it’s not an issue of Aldean being afraid to return to Las Vegas.
“His image was more important than coming back to Vegas and playing for the people who are his fans and who got shot watching him play,” White said. White told TMZ Sports that Aldean’s team said he was too shaken up to perform. Anyone who tuned into the recent SNL knows that wasn’t the case. “Fuck you, Jason Aldean. Stay out of Vegas.” His consternation wasn’t limited to Aldean. White added that he reached out to several other prominent country music singers, but none took the bait. “Those are people who buy your albums and none of you country music people could sing the anthem in front of survivors and 1st responders?”
Dana White is attacking all country singers who refused to perform at his gig. Challenging another person patriotism over not participating in your personal affairs is peak outrage culture performance. Slow down on the ‘roids. You’re raging really hard. This was obviously an attempt by Dana to capitalize off of the country singer with a tribute performance. Let’s be more transparent about why we’re really upset and this world would be a better place. The way White is talking it sounds like a diss record to all country singers is coming soon. He managed to secure some obscure rapper named Everlast to perform as a last resort. No better way to hype an MMA crowd up than last minute changes to music genres. Country to Rap crossovers weren’t welcome when Nelly and Tim McGraw did it and aren’t welcome now. Dammit Dana didn’t you learn anything?
