Nicki Minaj And John Mayer Go At It On Social Media

John Mayer geared with a guitar has been known for making women wet. The wonderland single had relatively little to do with winter and more with exploring her hut with his Eskimo. Still a great tune to hum either way when it’s time to break out the extreme cruelty to coyotes Canada Goose coats. But Mayer has had his public image melt slightly before when it comes to women with more melanin than your typical Whole Foods shopper. In a Playboy magazine interview he said he suffers from “David Duke dick” when dealing with black women. But maybe his personal preference affliction has been lifted because he’s been flirting with Nicki Minaj online. 

It all started on Friday, Sept. 8, when Mayer tweeted, “I spend an inordinate amount of time per day wondering if Nicki Minaj would like me or not.” Same. And then, Queen Nicki herself quoted the tweet and said, “Would my body be your wonderland?” I mean, that’s obviously an amazing thing to say back to the guy who wrote “Your Body Is A Wonderland,” but a lot of fans don’t want this flirting to continue. Personally, I am wondering if Minaj and Mayer ever met when he was dating Katy Perry, or if he just is a fan and wants to meet her. Either way, Mayer responded to Minaj’s tweet, saying, “Please hold. Losing my sh*t. This isn’t my reply yet.”

The Playboy interview was in 2010. It’s possible John is setting the precedent on how long it takes for the public to forget about career ending comments. When “I have a black friend” won’t work, openly flirt with a black woman on the internet. Then and only then will it be possible to reclaim a spot on the Billboard Hot 100. As far as a John and Nicki relationship happening I’m gonna call BS. He looks like the only meaning for grill he understands is a device used for cooking steaks and such. Not a form of jewelry often found in a rapper’s mouth. And Nicki looks like she’s not all too familiar with what a Labradoodle is. The juxtaposition of different upbringings is as clear as black and white.
