David Beckham Can’t Stop Being Endearing

Since numerous emails leaked revealing his cynical public image manipulation, David Beckham has made every effort to show people he is the very same happy lovable family man he coincidentally plotted to be with his publicity reps. Including constant shoutouts to his brilliant and beautiful Victoria on Instagram, where heartfelt is implied.

For their 18th anniversary, Beckham posted a throwback picture of he and Victoria from a time when he was impossibly even gayer and his wife was physically capable of smiling.

Wow we really did this. Happy Anniversary to an amazing wife , mummy and strong business woman.

She was a beautiful woman back then. As was he. The matching leather outfits speak to times when neither knew exactly how deep they would sink to be rich and famous. If this were the Player’s Tribune, they could write a letter to their 1998 selves and say, “You have no idea how low you will go. It’s okay. You get paid.”

Beckham tagged each of his children in the post because they have accounts that need some action. The kids already know how much their dad loves their mom simply by how much he respects her privacy with a hundred foot virtual perimeter in their own home. There’s always time for closeness when the cameras are around.

Surely a man who loves his family this much must be a great guy. Or so goes the thinking on the greatest medium for lying ever invented.
