Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to casually drop in a series of publicized posts that she’s been financially supporting a village in India for the past couple of years. Minaj is so humble, nobody even know about it. Two years is a long time to be an anonymous donor. Plus, the press was not picking up on her repeated hints.
The unnamed village was in need of some basics, like computers and well-water. This narrows the list down to any city in India. Reasonably clean water should be available throughout the village by next year. The Microsoft support call center expected to open by early next week.
This is the kind of thing that makes me feel the most proud. The money I’ve sent to this village in India for the last couple years [via my Pastor Lydia Sloley], has gotten them a Computer Center, a Tailoring Institute, a Reading Program and 2 WATER WELLS. We complain about the most ridiculous little things when some ppl don’t even have clean water. Blessings to India. Our work is far from done. I’ll tell you guys more about my charity work in the near future in case you’d like to be a part of it. Love.
Minaj now joins the ranks of every single rich person ever to support poor people on the other side of the globe. Third world giving is extremely economical. Oprah was the first really to figure this out with her girls schools in Africa. You can build a high school in Namibia for nine-five dollars and six cases of Marlboros. There’s so much less scrutiny when girls go missing or half the student body ends up pregnant by eleven. If that was a program in New York City schools, you’d be testifying before a Commission and being called horrible puns in The Post.
An unnamed village in India with photos you control is amazing. Minaj is worth upwards of $75 million. For a grand she can overhaul a stone age hamlet in India. Don’t use your new computer to Google infant mortality rates around the world. It’s needlessly depressing. No, Nicki Minaj is never visiting. Use that to your advantage. Ask for new shoes.
