The former sports magazine SI has evolved into a two front air-brushing strategy. The front end is adding plus sized models, old models, angry judo Corky faced celebrities to the covers and publicity side of the house. Throw in a for-chicks TV special and you have the Kardashianization of the SI Swimsuit Edition legcy. At the same time, tons of production elves in the back at Time-Warner are cranking out a shit-ton of low cost ‘model search’ mostly naked bikini models like minting volume coins for the spank bank. That’s how the CEO gets to tie his golden package to diversity goals while still wholesaling tits out the back door. It’s how big corporate owned media outlets like HuffPo and TMZ and Vice are covering up the wank traffic that jimmies up their numbers. The magazine business is going away. 20-year old model tits are here forever. Tonight I wank to diversity.
