Rose McGowan took a pot shot last week at Senator Ted Cruz for his quote that gay people love is worse than the Josh Duggar kiddy sexual assaults. You can even see Ted Cruz in a photo with his arm around the creepy Duggar family dad. The problem is, Cruz never made this remark. And the photo is clearly shopped with him cut and paste next to the 19 and Molesting Dad. The fake meme came from some site on Facebook that makes up hateful quotes from Conservatives under the pretense of being ha-ha funny, which we all know is scientifically impossible from partisan politics of any ilk.
When McGowan was informed of her rant being based on a hoax, she refused to retract, insisting that the illegitimacy of the Cruz quote was a minor detail and in no way diminishing the point that she’s right, the people she hates are wrong, and everybody should agree with her unless they are fucking retards. She cleverly fake apologized:
I’m sorry I said #TedCruz liked child molesters. Ok? No [sic] go back to hating gays. Fuckwits.
I normally give bonus points to people who make harsh statements online then refuse to back down from public outrage. But that assumes you aren’t a misquoting asshole. Ted Cruz might hate gay people. Fuck if I know. He mostly just looks like an Aspy mope who got his ass kicked as a kid routinely by the tougher Spanish kids. But he didn’t say what you said he did. You put it in quotes. Now get some even bigger sunglasses and show us your tits so we can put this behind us. That’s not sexist. It’s a quote I saw from Ellen online.
