Fast and Furious Scene Cut

July 14, 2014 | celebrity | matt-ralston | 0 Comments

Universal Studios execs bailed on a race scene for Fast & Furious 7. The shoot was lined up and ready. As the Cantonese speaking refugees who work for granola bars from craft services were touching up the script, the studio jumped in. The execs claimed the scene was too dangerous. Later they admitted they didn’t give a shit about how dangerous it was, they couldn’t get insured. This scene must have been intense, because Universal’s insurance policy actually lets Michael Bay destroy Chicago for one shitty deleted scene. I assume the even lifeless ghost of Paul Walker is in the scene. I bet insurance rates are high for dead speed demons. Losing this critical scene probably means it’ll be difficult to follow the complex plot line in the latest Fast and Furious installment. Also, how they make Vin Diesel not look like a midget with Popeye arms. Maybe Universal’s executives can figure out how to insure it after the first bystander dies and they actuarial chart the cost of human life, which judging by the popularity of the Furious franchise is less than a movie ticket.
