Conspiracy connoisseur Rose McGowan has apologized to the trans community for her behavior. She believed that a transgendered woman was a plant just like those drugs in Virginia. How did that get there? Bewilderment happens to be a very normal reaction when a heckler with a history yells at you. Or when a TSA agent takes his job too seriously. McGowan’s textbook taped apology makes her sound like a trained monkey. All she’s missing is the leash and the line about her best friend being trans. But I will admit that bit about her being some kind of Harriet Tubman for an underground Hollywood trans runaway railroad was pretty close.
Actor Rose McGowan has apologised over previous comments she has made about the trans community, telling PinkNews: “I am profoundly sorry.”
Charmed star McGowan came under fire for shouting at a trans woman at an event promoting her book Brave at Barnes & Noble in New York in February 2018.
The 45-year old star had been confronted at the event over comments she made about the trans community on RuPaul’s podcast What’s The Tee? in July 2017. Speaking on the podcast, McGowan said that trans women could not relate to cisgender women’s experience of “living in this world as a woman.”
Rose McGowan wanted a monopoly on MeToo. But life had other plans. Maybe it’s time to put down the dope and pick up some accountability. She currently looks like what I imagine Macauley Culkin looked like on that magical first night with Mike. The first step towards healing is admitting that you’ve made mistakes. Many mistakes.
