Rihanna really needs to do something about the men in her life. First it was three rounds with Chris Brown within the confines of an exotic vehicle. Chris walked away with the domestic abuse belt from that match. Better luck next time, Rihanna. And now it’s her father that she’s fighting. Legally, this time, thank God. It’s over an alleged scam that her dad is running. He pretends to be her agent and accepts money from businesses on her behalf.
The “Love on the Brain” singer is suing her dad, Ronald Fenty, and his company called Fenty Entertainment, for exploiting her name for his own gains, The Blast reported.
According to court docs, Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, claims her father and another man, Moses Perkins, created the entertainment company and have been soliciting business acting as agents of the singer.
The Fenty Beauty guru claims her father booked a $15 million tour in Latin America and two concerts at the Staples Center in LA and the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for $400,000, for which she says she has no involvement in. Rihanna also says her dad claims he got approval from her label, Roc Nation, before booking, but that the singer argues that no one from Roc Nation knew about the endeavors.
Rihanna, who has multiple business endeavors under the Fenty name including Fenty Beauty, Savage X Fenty, and Fenty PUMA, says she sent several cease and desist letters to her father and his partner, but to no avail.
I’m not sure why this man feels like throwing away his relationship with his daughter over millions of dollars is worth it. His level of scumbaggery reminds me of the miscreants that vandalize Whole Foods bathrooms with the names of their favorite gelato flavors. Puzzling and pointless. Men just haven’t been good to Rihanna at all. That means it’s time to start dating women like most disappointed ladies who see no other option. Maybe she can be the face of a new letter in the LGBT alphabet. Possibly an “O” if the letter is still a available. “Overmen-sexual” seems like a term that’s overdue.
