Young starlets yet to be #MeToo-ed by the hands of time often pledge to avoid undergoing plastic surgery, and tend to shun Photoshopped pics – claiming to favor ones that highlight their natural beauty. They believe that women should embrace their imperfections and what makes them unique. Right up until the point that they look like a stunned geisha 24/7, à la Nicole Kidman. Elle Fanning is the latest three-month-old celebrity to subtly shade old bags of collagen and self-loathing by swearing off airbrushing. She really personifies “young and dumb” with:
Airbrushing is not attractive. Imperfections are what’s beautiful. I like to post funny, not-so-serious things [on social media].
We’ve reached out to the Kidman / Naomi Watts apparition from the Vanity Fair shoot for comment. Elle covers the new issue of Glamour along with two other fetuses not yet able to comprehend what aging is like for celebrities. SPOILER: It’s a disaster, and it will certainly test convictions of embracing “imperfections.” Some singer that we’re supposed to care about named Camila Cabello adds:
There was a period when I really wanted light eyes. It was only as I got older that I was like, ‘I like my brown eyes, I like my black hair, I like my skin. I don’t need to be blond and blue-eyed.’ There are still things I’m insecure about, like my crooked teeth, but I think part of beauty is accepting imperfections. The more I meet people and see the world, the more I realize it’s those little quirks—a birthmark, a crooked tooth, a scar—that makes you you. As they say with art: Perfect is boring.
Does anyone know where I can get bravery medals produced in bulk? Because we have a lot of celebrities that we need to honor. Cabello is about as exotic-looking as Lea Michele. All of these girls are young and attractive and if they think they have imperfections to embrace right now, the next three decades are really going to be a shock. We’ve reached out to Madonna’s vagina clacking around her knees for comment.
