If you can’t keep them quiet with a settlement the threat of a lawsuit works well as a plan B. Uma Thurman is coming out of her sexual harassment shell and claiming her name is on the list of Harvey Weinstein’s super exclusive sexual assault club. But after so many allegations and counting Harvey is standing up for himself as someone that will not be taken advantage of. His legal team has released an official statement saying they’re ready to take legal action against Thurman if her recollection of her Harvey encounter sounds off. The major discrepancy is that Uma is recalling the incident as sexual assault while Harvey remembers it as misreading her signals and made a pass at her that went completely awry. I’m pretty sure Weinstein’s definition of a “pass” is completely different from everyone else’s.
Harvey’s legal team statement:
“Ms. Thurman’s statements to The Times are being carefully examined and investigated before deciding whether any legal action against her would be appropriate.”
I’m surprised Harvey’s memory is able to recall which specific up and coming actresses he jostled his Johnson in front of. You would think after saying hello to every woman he met with his zipper undone that he would just lose count. But that’s not the case here and Uma is going to have to watch her words when attempting to take Weinstein for the second time.
