Models of normal weight are pretty consistent so you know what to expect when they take their clothes off. “Body positivity models” on the other hand are varying groups of blobs that can’t commit to quit feeding their face a full meal in the middle of the night. So a plus size model can be anywhere from size “these jeans are cutting off the circulation to my kankles” to “are you sure you’re going to finish all those fries by yourself.” Ashley Graham is no sober man’s first choice for the sack but in the “please keep your clothes on” category Tess Holliday takes the cake, literally and figuratively. The behemoth is wearing her birthday suit for women’s equality. Somehow a bare-ass nude photograph of a 400-pound woman is kid-friendly and managed to not break or violate any community guideline on Instagram.
Tess Holliday is posing nude — for a great cause. The model, 32, shared an unretouched photo of herself, naked, to advocate for women’s equality. Her husband Nick took the photo and added it to his Instagram account on Saturday, which Tess then reposted. “Women deserve respect, whether they are completely naked or covered head to toe,” Nick wrote.
At this point I’m pretty fed up with fat women placing a similar amount of stress on my eyes that their arteries experience from high cholesterol. Holliday’s photograph is the male equivalent of an unwanted dick pic in your inbox. No one asked for this. You’re not a model you’re hungry. We all aren’t the same people we see in our heads. The only equality I see here is the similarity between Tess’ weight and a small mini-van.
