Cam Newton Can’t Believe Women Know Football

When a sports star drops the ball on respecting females, sponsors will quickly race to drop the offender. Not because it’s a matter of right or wrong, but because athletes are never the target demographic of the products that sponsor them. Do you think that if Dak Prescott substituted his daily water intake with a bottle of soda from his Pepsi sponsorship that he would have the opportunity to become an overrated starting Quarterback. No because overdoing it with colored carbonated sugar water won’t allow you to fit the same trousers for much longer. So that’s why Dannon distanced themselves as Cam’s sponsor when the world over reacted when he said “it’s funny to hear a woman talk about routes.” Because it is. The same way it would be funny to hear a black guy discuss his collection of boat shoes.  No one is putting anyone down, it’s just not something you hear every day. Everyone is just too ready to rush with an overreaction. Male reporters get violated all of the time when they ask athletes questions. But because she’s a female the world must stop spinning to make sure her feelings are intact. Most women aren’t attached to sports the same way men are. If you’re really upset write Roger Goodell nasty letters asking for an explanation on inequality. Currently no women have the opportunity to experience permanent life altering brain injury out on the field in the NFL. And the lingerie league doesn’t count. Believing you understand sports goes deeper than buying a pink jersey in February.
