Mel B Wanted for Witness Tampering

The Mel B and Stephen Belafonte proceedings is one of those rare messy celebrity splits where stuff keeps getting more and more salacious as time wears on. More typically, you see a massive hyperbolic window of despicable acts leaked to the tabloids in the first 48 hours, followed by a slow drip of finding out most of the good shit wasn’t true. In this case, elements of the couple’s relationships have become seedier as time has passed and shit that probably wasn’t ever supposed to come out is coming out.

In the latest round of who beat who in between banging the nanny in threesomes and snorts, Mel B is now being investigated for witness tampering. Scary Spice is accused of sending threatening text messages to a rapper name Siya who is apparently on Belafonte’s witness list and going to claim Mel B was the ringmaster in the couple’s twisted relationship. 

Siya is expected to swear in deposition that she was tight with the couple and she never once saw Belafonte strike Mel B, though she did witness Mel B frequently using illegal narcotics. Also, that Mel B ran the menage shows in the bedroom she would claim in her own suit she was forced into by her abusive husband. Not clear how the hell this chick would know what went on in the Cruel Intentions sex games if she wasn’t involved, but suffice it to say, the word of a rapper under oath is pretty unimpeachable.

Siya showed cops the threatening texts from Mel B and they felt it substantial enough to open a case of tampering with a witness.

The one time teflon member of the Spice Girls, Mel B has managed in the past year or so to make all the other chicks look pretty personally successful by comparison. Whether she keeps her job with America’s Got Talent remains to be seen. Networks are desperate for audience these days. If she’s testing well, short of a child murder conviction, she probably sticks. The audience for AGT is not the same audience who follows the seedy personal life stories of these rich and bored sexual schemers. 

The sane among us are waiting to see the threesome tapes before deciding anything. We’ll be the judge of ringmaster status.
