Women have been arguing since the day humans developed the concept of what an opposing opinion is. The internet has done nothing but empower and embolden the bloodthirsty beast that is known as a collective group of angry women upset over any given topic. Before it was just shit talking behind closed doors in a book club. Then one brave young woman discovered social media as an even more efficient way to let the entire world know her preferred perspectives on every issue ever. From that point on no one was safe. Not even one of their own. Kate Hudson was recently crucified for her comments on having a C-Section being one of the laziest things she’s ever done.
The 38-year-old mother of two appears on Cosmopolitan’s October cover — and found herself facing controversy when she answered “Have a C-Section!” when asked to name the laziest thing she’s ever done. Hudson gave birth to now-13-year-old son Ryder via c-section. Social media users have been sharing her answer and criticizing her response.
If there’s one thing women love, it’s credit. Biologically your body does all of the work in crafting and creating a child. Just like a fart. But I don’t go into details about my personal involvement in making that fart possible. You had unprotected sex, I had White Castles. End of story. If you’re forced to have a C-Section there’s an individual who attended medical school for quite some time making carefully calculated surgical incisions to remove another human being from inside you. Again, you didn’t lift a finger to help said doctor. At best you’re just along for the ride. Sure you can die. But so can I from asphyxiation because of certain auto-erotic activities that I do not choose to get too specific about at the moment. Everything in this world is a risk. But if it makes you feel better you can pat yourself on the back if you managed to not drink in excess, smoke, or do drugs for an entire nine months. Your pointless sobriety good human coin that stands between you and rock bottom again will be waiting for you at the door. Also a child. This fact still hasn’t stopped easily offended women from recounting pregnancy like it was yesterday 9 a.m. in ‘nam. The scars and stretch marks from the surgery does make most women look like they’ve stepped on a land mine. Take cover Kate and keep your mouth shut around overly sensitive C-Section moms with Twitter accounts.
