More and more airplanes are becoming the equivalent of inner city buses with wings. There used to be a paywall between you and the funny business only experienced by those living in less fortunate situations. But with airline stewards doubling as bouncers and forcefully removing doctors from club American Airlines VIP seating, equality mistreatment has finally been brought to an airline near you. The most recent case coming up in the court of public opinion, Jason Mitchell vs. Delta Airlines.
A Delta official tells TMZ, the airline did NOT overbook. Mitchell was late to the airport and missed his flight, on which he had a first class ticket. Mitchell was flying standby on a later flight — the flight in question — and the only seat available was “comfort+.” In other words, it was his fault.
After given this side of the story, it looks like Mitchell may be at fault. Not just for missing his flight and becoming furious, but for not being a better actor. Prima Donna behavior is only reserved for those in Hollywood who fly in private jets. Because in that case, no one can take your seat, it’ll have your name embroidered on it. Hopefully the passengers and plane crew can find forgiveness about the incident since you were straight out of manners that day. Not only did you not get the seat you vehemently petitioned for, but you got kicked off and cuffed. No one should ever be in a position for an airline to press charges against them. Otherwise you’ll need a lot of lube, because they have the finances to fund better attorneys.
