James Woods Goes James Woods on Trans Parenting

If you read any cloying outlets like Buzzfeed, HuffPo, HelloGiggles, or The New York Times, the emotionally high IQ White Privileged Women might have you believing there’s a national craze on parents raising their kids with open genders. Open gender doesn’t actually mean anything, but you want to be on the right side of trends regardless of their foundation in fact. Journalism starts and ends with, assess what your friends at work and on social media will say about you. 

James Woods is one of five known Republicans in the entertainment industry. Being an outspoken right wing guy in Hollywood means he rarely works, but he’s got cash and a girlfriend 1/3 his age so fuck if he cares. More time to shake the rafters. He’s the kind of guy you’d want to punch even if you’re politically aligned, but you’re glad he’s around to say the shit nobody else is saying.

Woods took note of a photo of a proud couple with their boy being raised as a girl at the Orange County Pride Festival. You can see the signs.

I love my gender creative son. 

My son wears makeup and dresses…. get over it.

He’s probably eight so assume he doesn’t purchase his own clothing and makeup. That would be provided by his parents working hard to be “on the right side of history”. Imagine someday you’ll be judged if you don’t push your third grade son to live as a girl. Enlightenment applause is addictive.

James Woods saw it differently. No need to pick on the blameless kid, which he didn’t, but the parents…

This is sweet. Wait until this poor kid grows up, realizes what you’ve done, and stuffs both of you dismembered into a freezer in the garage.

Outside of one or two Midwestern serial killers, there probably isn’t much hard data yet on how gender creative parenting is going to play out in terms of patricide and matricide rates. There probably is some decent evidence as to what happens to you in schools not within five miles of either coast. Watch Psycho a couple times as a prophylactic. 

Woods comment was gratuitous, but sharply funny if nothing else for being completely brazen within his zip code. Outrage ensued. Neil Patrick Harris stepped into the mix for a right side of history retort.

“Utterly ignorant and classless, Mr. Woods. I’m friends with this family. You know not of what you speak, and should be ashamed of yourself.”

Harris was seconded by his followers who went back to their brutally ass raping Ivanka Trump jokes. 

Any expression not consistent with how brave you are to raise your boy as a girl earns you rote backlash. The media world is run by Stalin in rainbow socks and glitter in his mustache. Though you can’t be arrested and sent to the camps for contesting a biological theory with zero evidence to support it. Not yet.

When boys sucked at sports their parents used to make them play an instrument. That’s how we got boys in bow ties playing violin for the local junior symphony. Now you’re handed a dress and told you’re accomplished. You might give the mom a pass. But what the fuck happened to daddy?
