Let The Wonder Woman Pay Gap Whining Commence

There’s a natural lifecycle to unsupported bitching. It’s all in the textbook and will definitely be on the Bad Shit Men Do To Subjugate Women finals. A long title for the most popular class currently taught at liberal arts schools. 

The Gal Gadot Wonder Woman gender pay gap articles are upon us. Prior to her stint as Wonder Woman, Gadot was an Israeli model who you only remember as the hot chick in the tight tank top small roles in a few of the Fast and Furious movies. She signed a three picture deal with Warner Bros. to be Wonder Woman in that crappy Batman vs. Superman film to intro her character, her standalone Wonder Woman pic, and the upcoming Justice League film. She was paid $300,000 for Wonder Woman. Or exactly the same as Chris Evans in his first role as Captain America. Or more than Chris Hemsworth for his first Thor. Ensuring but one thing. A twisted rationale for gender pay gap bemoaning was forthcoming.

Sciences are based on a measurable outcome and the ability to reproduce that measurable outcome until everybody nods and agrees it’s science. Gender sciences got a permanent hall pass from the standard proof methodology. 

Some have suggested that Gadot’s performance in Wonder Woman was technically her second Wonder Woman performance so she deserved more money comparative to Evans and Hemsworth. Thereby, the gender equality pay gap is defined by how much more she should’ve earned, not equality which is misleading from the hashtag title. Others have argued that her film is breaking box office records so she deserves more. Quietly whisper to them that she has a performance bonus in her contract. She does. These are not people looking to engage in a real discussion.

Gadot will surely make more in her third film and will, if she so pleases, continue to make a fortune exceeding the GDP of fifty of the world’s nation provided she can continue to fit the costume and look askance with determination and perfect hair. Jennifer Lawrence followed the same trajectory after the bitching about her low early Hunger Games pay. Now she’s hauling in Beyonce money annually. 

Gadot and her high powered female agent at WME, signed the deal because they knew it was in her best interest, not by a little, but by a lot. Who are the conspirators here? Hardly a rube being hornswoggled. This is one smart model chick represented by a super smart agent chick who got Gadot into financial Candyland. The people bitching on her behalf are reaching for a fact to support the argument they all already have concluded is factual. I’m sure real people of science have a name for this. It likely rhymes precisely with dumbass.
