Imagine the struggle of young celebrities that are neither educated or well-read but must contribute their opinions as if well informed. May you never know the burden of having millions of people respecting your thoughts without any justification.
Properly virtue aligned celebrities have been boycotting Dolce & Gabbana designer brand because the Italian designers refused to boycott dressing Melania Trump. Only through pettiness can great goals by achieved, said nobody ever who achieved great goals. But it is so much easier. Dolce and Gabbana have not only refused to blindly hate all things Trump, they’ve also taken the resulting #BoycottDolce&Gabbana hashtag and printed it on tight t-shirts for men who tease their nipples. $245 a pop. These Italian dudes seem to be smarter than everybody else.
Miley Cyrus went on Instagram to praise her younger brother Braison, which is a real name apparently, for walking in a D&G fashion show dressed as the world’s gayest royal. That’s no simple superlative to attain. While commending D&G for giving her broke brother a shot at being a real someone, Cyrus added a P.S. on how she still detests D&G’s politics. Which isn’t true since she doesn’t know their politics, only that they’ve agreed to give the First Lady fifty-thousand dollar dresses to wear as all fancy designers have done for all former First Ladies until this year.
Gabbana wrote back to Miley in a way that ought shame ninety-nine percent of red blooded American famous people and media types who are scared shitless to step outside the politically approved talking points:
“We are Italian and we don’t care about politics and mostly neither about the American one! We don’t need your posts or comments so next time please ignore us!!”
Brubaker clap for the fey designer men of Italy. They’ve got more man in their fingertips than most U.S. souls have in what’s left of their masculinity. This illiterates with big social media accounts shall rule the world nonsense only exists if you let it be so. Fight the power. Surprising who the power turned out to be.
