Corinne Olympios’ boyfriend, Jordan Gielchinsky, has issued a qualified unqualified statement of support for the woman he calls his long time friend and girlfriend:
“I have known Corinne for over 10 years and as a friend or boyfriend, she will continue to receive my unwavering loyalty and support until I decide that there is a legitimate reason not to give it.”
Hillary was more definitive on Iraq. To be fair, you’re in a particularly poor position when your girlfriend becomes the most famous person in the world for fucking a dude not you. Lack of sober consent allegations only mean so much to the loyal boyfriend when you’re on camera giggling and playing snatch buffet with the black bachelor. Not exactly Camille Cosby territory, but a conditional statement of loyalty seems about right.
Olympios’ continues to insist she was the victim of a date rape encounter on Bachelor in Paradise, despite little corroborating evidence presented from her side of the dispute. Counting on an unsourced sympathetic Rolling Stone rape culture article is not a legal strategy. Also, the bachelor DeMario Jackson seems to be gaining ground in his media campaign of being the falsely accused. Women detest rapey men, excluding the hot ones with six pack abs who care about their orgasm.
Presumably Olympios’ legal reps are in contact with Warner Bros. and ABC hoping for a down low and dirty financial settlement to shut their client up. It’s a high wire act. Studios hate bad press but have had a thing against extortion since the days Tom Hagen was dispatched to muscle a movie role for Jonny Fontane. Nobody wants a trial on this. Or so will go the threats. Over/under at $250,000 for time and trouble. How’s this work into your girlfriend legitimacy clause, Mr. Gielchinsky?
