Ashley Graham is making a mint in this burgeoning industry of plus-sized models where she just happens to be the sole participant. Her jelly belly revolution hasn’t quite expanded to the model universe as she had anticipated, or perhaps that wasn’t the plan all along. When you’re hungry, sometimes there isn’t pie left for others. Also, as Graham noted this week during a conference on women making bank, you have a tougher road to hoe than you’re not overweight counterparts:
You just have to work a little harder. When you’re not in the limelight, it’s a little less work, but when you’re in the limelight, you have to work hard to stay there. I love what I do and I love where I’m going. I love how the world is changing right before my eyes. I like to say that my cellulite is changing someone’s life out there.
It’s unclear how the benevolent acts of your cellulite extend beyond the millions you’re now bringing in. But it’s a catchy slogan if you’re fans aren’t into follow-ups. The rest of the fat world seems to be less commercially viable. Unless you’re buying the new slimmed down Gabourey Sidibe is moving tons of lingerie:
