McKayla Maroney Identity Crisis

2012 Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney suffered an identity crisis when she quit gymnastics and everybody she met kept insisting she was “that gymnast girl”. Sort of like Obama will be next year when people keep asking him, “Hey, I know you from somewhere. Yeah, your wife shit canned tater tots from my kids lunches”.

It’s hard to escape that one time super famous pigeon hole. It helps if you have new things to mention. McKayla Maroney is releasing a musical single next month called Ghost. Uncalled for musical careers are the modern day version of becoming a veterinarian. Soon there will never be a reason for another featured piece on ‘Whatever Happened To…” because every potential subject of such piece will have a sponsored auto-tuned music video on YouTube.

10,000 hours of bone bruising training since age four and the occasional Marta Karolyi overly intimate tendon massages at the ranch have to count for something. Midgets with nice racks should never know suffering.
