Adrien Brody did an interview on Jenny McCarthy’s radio show so he’s either not thinking straight or banging her. He let it be known that he doesn’t mind working with directors who’ve been accused of heinous crimes because life goes on and he needs the work:
“It’s an artistic pursuit, and Polanski for instance had a very complicated and difficult life. It would be unfair of me to delve into something as complicated as the past that was brought up in the media… people have done things in their lives that may be inexcusable, but it’s not something to focus on.”
That all depends on whether you’re the victim or some actor guy with a freakish nose. Woody Allen aside, it’s been documented Roman Polanski banged a 13 year old in the ass while she was high. If your life is kind of difficult, that’s not going to help. You might have to flee to France for example. Brody’s comments wouldn’t make any sense if you removed the self interest. In that case, do what you have to do, unless it involves tweens and quaaludes at Jack Nicholson’s house. Would it take that much effort to lie?
