Rajon Rondo Gay Slurs Gay Referee

December 15, 2015 | celebrity | Lex Jurgen | 0 Comments

Rajon Rondo let loose a a common gay slur at NBA referee Bill Kennedy after a series of frustrating calls only to have Bill Kennedy grab a mic and come out as gay. The Hallmark Glad You’re Gay cards came pouring in. Jason Collins who is noted as the only active NBA player to come out as gay even though that’s not really accurate stated that he admired Kennedy for his true professionalism. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver passed Collins in the pointless platitude category by announcing he supported Bill’s decision to live his life proudly and openly. The owner of Rondo’s team, the Sacramento Kings, apologized on behalf of the franchise and the globe:

“Rondo’s comments were ‘not reflective of the culture of the Sacramento Kings organization or the world we want to live in.”

No, duh. Everybody knows the Sacramento Kings aren’t homophobic like those other stupid franchises. They’re Sacramento. It’s super gay friendly. After everybody had climbed over one another to be more approving of Kennedy who never once asked for their approval, Rondo capped it with the forced apology cherry:

“[My comments] absolutely do not reflect my feelings toward the L.G.B.T. community. I did not mean to offend or disrespect anyone.”

Of course not. You call the only gay ref in the league a faggot and it’s never meant to be offensive. The healing starts where the trite apologies begin. Rondo was served a one game suspension though he’s expected to appeal by saying ‘Alec Baldwin, am I right?’ He’s got a point.
