Don Lemon Is the Best We Got

CNN wanted to engage their audience in serious race relations debate by having Don Lemon hold up a sign with a word that they’re too scared to utter aloud. This is like a bad Sesame Street episode from the 70’s. The one where Gordon drinks a forty and rapes all the white women. It’s hard to have a mature discussion when you can’t stop shuddering under the bed in fear of terminology. We all giggled when our science teacher said vagina in sex ed. We were eleven. By fourteen it’s all we wanted and we never laughed again. Political correctness has begun consuming its own tail. Stupidity doesn’t offend me. Cowardice does. So my answer is mixed. Props to the summer intern you assigned to get that sign made at a New York print shop.
