We’re Running Out Of Diversions

A huge feud erupted over the cover of a comic book because we’re going backwards as a society. People flipped out because The Joker is threatening Batgirl like how a villain would do. Those who had no idea comic books still existed were pissed at the cover and how they never had the foresight to sell their own childhood collection on eBay. After sifting through the bullshit it seemed a vocal minority were faux outraged because it appeared The Joker might be plotting to rape Batgirl where as it would be more socially acceptable to shoot her in the face and tie a pink ribbon on her corpse. He’s a bad guy. This should end the argument. A fictional villain’s nefarious behavior can’t be the root of your anger. Next time you find yourself tweeting about comic books realize there’s a big world out there which you could at least venture into and not tip well. Think of all the conversations you could ruin. People fall in love every day. Try and stop the streak. I heard The Green Lantern thinks the landscapers should learn English. Get on your Blackberry, there’s evil to be fought. You people are silly.
