Darryl Strawberry Down With the Sickness

Darryl Strawberry addressed a rumor about former teammate Kevin Mitchell while promoting his new book about marriage. Mitchell was a psycho who regularly punched people of varying genders. He took a few bullets. And it was rumored he decapitated a girlfriend’s cat out of spite. Strawberry rocked a pretty glib attitude while confirming the feline murder:

“That’s a pretty good story. I think that’s pretty accurate, Kevin Mitchell did do that… he’s a different type of guy. Great guy, super teammate…I guess he figured that the girlfriend was acting a little crazy, so I’ll kill her cat.”

A pretty good story is that time you guys drank too much beer and totaled the bullpen golf cart. This story is fucking horrifying. Its weird Strawberry still refers to Mitchell as a great guy. If you are into twisting the heads off kitties at best you qualify as ‘unpredictabe’, and most likely fall way short of that. Just when I thought it was safe to take marriage advice from a thrice married cocaine addict, he has to go and chuckle over animal torture. Fuck. Who’s left to mentor the children?
