I like when actors have to pretend to be really into the subject matter of the role they’re playing. Like asking a plumber who unclogs a drain in a Spanish style house if he’s really into casita architectural designs. No, he’s just yanking your hair glob out of a fucking pipe. Lizzy Caplan portrays a sex doctor in the new series Masters of Sex, so she must be really educated on matters of human sexuality. Lizzy does her best in GQ to talk about women’s vaginas being awesome and how she doesn’t mind being naked in front of others and some other things that make her sound like she might be an actual sex researcher. Just like Henry Cavill knows how to fly and John Travolta knows what it’s like to have sex with a woman. It’s acting.
