lindsay lohan is in court today

Lindsay Lohan is in court this morning for a probation hearing and to answer for skipping so many alcohol ed classes and court dates, and while there’s a chance she may go to jail today, I think we both that’s not gonna happen. Just because Lindsay broke a quazillion different laws doesn’t mean the judge should put her in jail. Everyone deserves a ninetieth chance.

9:17pct UPDATE – still in court, but Lindsays attorney wasn’t prepared to cross examine a witness the DA brought to testify about Lindsays SCRAM bracelet being tampered with. Now they’re in some kind of break. It’s all women in the courtroom so they probably just went to the bathroom together.

9:31pct UPDATE – “Prosecutor Danette Meyers told the judge during Lindsay’s probation violation hearing she has witnesses who will clearly show Lindsay was drinking after the MTV Movie Awards when her SCRAM bracelet showed a positive reading for alcohol.”

This of course is a direct violation of her probation. Lindsays attorney wasn’t prepared for this, and that’s another reason for the current recess. Also their cycles all times up and everyone got cranky.

10:31pct UPDATE – The session briefly resumed and, as you should have expected, the judge ruled that she will not hear testimony concerning Lindsays SCRAM bracelet. The DA had evidence that Lindsay was drinking even though she was ordered by the court not to drink, but the judge didn’t feel like hearing it. Essentially it looks like Lindsay will walk. Again.

11:23pct UPDATE – Or maybe not. TMZ says, ”The noose is tightening. The Office Manager at the Right On program testified that the owners of the program knew full well the judge wanted Lindsay to attend class once a week, which she did not.”

12:00pct UPDATE – the court is in recess for lunch, and I’m certain this is setting me up for disappointment but things do not look good for Lindsay right now. And not simply because of her shitty hair color.
