MICHELLE WILLIAMS ISSUES A STATEMENT

Michelle Williams has been pretty quiet since the death of her longtime boyfriend and father of her child, Heath Ledger.  She was able to shame Entertainment Tonight and the Insider into not running a two year old video of Ledger at a party with drugs, but other than that she’s done almost nothing publicly.  Until today, when she released this statement:

"Please respect our need to grieve privately. My heart is broken. I am the mother of the most tender-hearted, high-spirited, beautiful little girl who is the spitting image of her father. All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day. His family and I watch Matilda as she whispers to trees, hugs animals, and takes steps two at a time, and we know that he is with us still. She will be brought up with the best memories of him."

Ooff.  This is so profoundly sad.  And it's gonna get worse.  Not only will Entertainment Tonight and The Insider crash his funeral, don't be surprised if they make a "Shocking Video" to show you what it would look like if instead of a burial Heath was dressed as a banana and shot out of a cannon.  The public has the right to know!
