DR ADAMS IS A BUSY GUY

Jan Adams, the doctor who performed the surgery on Donda West that led to her death, has sent his condolences to the West family but declined to discus anything more.  He told Entertainment Tonight:

"I want to first express my deepest condolences to the West family at a very difficult time. As a medical doctor practicing in this field, I hold sacred the bond of confidentiality that exists between the patient and doctor. Out of respect of the West family, and the absence of verifiable information, any comment without having first discussing that information with the family would be unprofessional."

Well that should take care of that.  Sounds like this guy isn’t so bad after all.  Oh wait never mind. 

It seems that, less than two weeks ago, a woman sued Adams for malpractice after her breasts augmentation went bad.  She says one implant had to be removed, the other is still in and she nearly bled to death after complications.  She says Adams has ruined her life.  And in 2002, his ex-girlfriend sought a retraining order against him, saying that alcohol brings out his "Jekyll and Hyde" personality.  She says he even once forced his way into her home, threatened her and chased her with his car.  Then, in 2004, a woman named Teana Lucas met Adams when she was a bartender and he was a regular costumer.  According to Lucas, Adams was set to perform liposuction on her.  Just before the surgery, Adams told Lucas he loved her and wanted to marry her.  Soon after, he began to make house calls to her home.  One night, he insisted she join him for dinner, she got drunk and they had sex.  Lucas became pregnant, and Adams wanted to keep the baby but Lucas did not.  Adams later recommended an OBGYN to "take care of the problem".  Lucas also claims he botched her two surgeries. She sued for sexual battery and malpractice.  Adams denied all the allegations, but settled the case.

And I know what you're thinking.  "Wow, this guy sure did have a sexy practice!"  And of course you're correct.  Unfortunately doctors can't really get away with this crap.  If he was a cop, he could be a cop on the edge, a loose cannon who plays by his own rules to get those scumbags off the street.  But he's not a cop, so when he tells a naked girl on a cold steel table that he's into her, just before he anesthetizes her, that doesn't sound like he's gonna do an extra good job because he really likes her, it just sounds like he's gonna chop off her arms and legs and keep her in a box in his study.
