Last week, Ryan Gosling walked away from a starring role in Peter Jacksons next movie, "The Lovely Bones". He was quickly replaced by Mark Wahlberg and the ubiquitous "creative differences" was cited as the only reason for the change. And according to Us magazine, "creative differences" means Gosling wanted to eat ice cream with a shovel and the director disagreed.
A source tells Us Gosling “was fired" because "he just gained too much weight!"A second insider says, "He ate grilled cheese every day." But pigging out wasnt his only sin.Adds the source: "He drove the hair and wardrobe crew crazy." The losswould seem particularly bitter for Gosling, who told reporters last monththat The Lovely Bones "is a totally unique story."A DreamWorks rep tells Us, "We have huge respect for Ryan's work. It was truly a case of creative differences, plain and simple."
IMDB describes the movie like this: "A young girl who was brutally raped and murdered, watches the effects of her death on her family from Heaven, as her parents drift apart, her father becomes obsessed with vengeance and her sister grows into the woman she would never be." Ryan was supposed to be the father. I guess on his script it said, "…her father becomes obsessed with vengeance pie eating contests at the lumberjack olympics". To be fair, that would be a pretty good movie too.
