LINDSAY CHARGED WITH 7 MISDEMEANORS

Moments ago, Lindsay Lohan was charged with seven misdemeanors as a result of her two arrests for DUI. She was not charged with any felonies.  She was not charged with possession of cocaine, even though cocaine was in her car for the first arrest and in her pocket for the second one.  She could have faced up to 6 years in jail if she was found guilty of all the charges she was actually arrested for, including 2 DUIs, 2 counts of possession of cocaine, transporting a narcotic into a custodial facility, driving on a suspended license, drinking underage and fleeing the scene of an accident, but since the DA only filed misdemeanor charges, she now faces 4 days in jail.  Breitbart News says:

The district attorney charged the 21-year-old actress with two counts each of driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol level above .08 percent and being under the influence of cocaine and one count of reckless driving.

And TMZ adds:

In deciding whether to file felony cocaine charges, the D.A. always looks at the person and the circumstances. In Lohan's case, the fact that she was busted twice in a short period of time actually helped her. It shows someone is struggling with an addiction problem. The fact that each time she was busted, she immediately checked into a rehab facility also helped her case. Also, her age — 21 — and the fact that her upbringing was extremely unstable — also worked in her favor.

Keep in mind that Lindsay had a .12 blood alcohol level on her second arrest and a .15 on her first.  The legal limit is .08.  That's almost twice the legal limit.  How the fuck is that a misdemeanor?  How drunk do you have to be for it it be a felony?  Jesus, some beer is only 3.2 percent alcohol.  They could have tested the damn beer and it would almost be the same percentage of alcohol as Lindsay.  So if you're a bottle of beer and you can reach the peddles, feel free to do some coke and race around the streets of LA.  Apparently that's not a problem.
